Donnalyn Bartolome is not at all happy that Marvic Leonen, Senior Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, has something to say about kanto themed parties — something that she did for a vlog recently.

She wrote on Facebook: “Wow pati Supreme Court Justice associate? Bawal po ako pumarty the way I partied before fame? Sino po kayo para mag-assume I don’t know what it’s like to be poor? Supreme Court Justice Associate tapos di nag-gather ng facts bago mangjudge? What a shame!”

But what did Leonen say exactly?

He didn’t mention Bartolome but he tweeted: “Instead of pretending to be poor through a lavish kanto themed party, why not understand what it is to be poor and find ways and means to assist. To be poor is not something to celebrate by the rich. It is insensitive. Just saying.”

Bartolome continued: “Who told you I never did anything to assist Sir? I celebrated my life by looking back at my past and not being ashamed of it. Did I pretend to be poor? Poor parin po ba sa inyo naka Bvlgari watch ako dun with diamond earrings and my imported P10,000 slippers? Mga nakaPrada pa mga bisita ko at Chanel, sadyang sa kanto lang kami pumarty at nakapambahay lang.”

She then branded Leonen’s comment as ”insensitive.”

“Para mag-assume sa past ko that this was not a reality for me.”

She went on to advice: “Pwede pong focus nalang kayo sa mga nawawalang mga babae and assist with preventing such events from happening kesa judging po kayo sa birthday party ng dati pang pumaparty sa kanto?”

Leonen’s tweet has since disappeared.
