2 dead, 4 hurt in two-vehicle collision in Camarines Sur

LEGAZPI CITY — Two persons died and four others were injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles in Sagñay town in Camarines Sur province on Thursday afternoon, police said.

Camarines Sur police said in a report that Avegaine Luis, 37, was driving a Hyundai Reina with four minors as passengers when they collided head-on with the Isuzu Dmax driven by Melchor Estallo in Barangay (village) Mabca at around 12:58 p.m.

Luis and her 14-year-old girl passenger sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.

The three other minors and Estallo also sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the accident.
