Another Round of Fuel Price Rollback Expected on Tuesday (August 16)

Different oil companies announced another round of fuel price rollback starting on Tuesday (August 16, 2022).

Over the past few months, the prices of petroleum products play a very important role to the country’s economy. Pump price adjustment usually causes significant impact on prices of products and services in the country.

The gasoline stations said that Filipino motorists will have a sigh of relief at the upcoming slash in prices of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. It will mark the 7th straight week of price rollback.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. announced a price cut of P0.10 per liter of gasoline, P1.05 per liter of diesel, and P0.45 per liter of kerosene. Clean fuel and Petro Gazz will impose similar adjustments except for kerosene which they do not carry.

All companies will impose the oil price adjustment at 6:00 am on Tuesday (August 16) except for Cleanfuel which will adjust prices at 8:01 am. Other fuel companies will make similar announcements later this week.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has also released the latest data available showing the year-to-date total adjustments, which stand at P17.55 per liter of gasoline, P30.15 per liter of diesel, and P24.75 per liter of kerosene as of August 9, 2022.
