Jane De Leon Emotional Over Support For Her Darna Series
New Darna Jane De Leon goes emotional because of the overwhelming support she has received.
JANE DE LEON – Kapamilya actress Jane De Leon gives his Darna break to her parents and has this message for the support she’s received.
Many doubted Kapamilya actress Jane De Leon when she got the iconic Darna role. Being able to get this role wasn’t an easy feat for her and she’s always been vocal about this. She went through a process and even she was in disbelief when she officially got the role.
And to all her critics, she said this based on a previous article, “Ang sa akin, panoorin muna nila ‘yung ‘Darna’ para ma-appreciate nila ‘yung character ko and me as Jane de Leon.”
When it comes to her transformation, she physically prepared for the role as well. She was too skinny before the shooting started, thus, she has to gain weight. However, the onset of the pandemic made her gain more than she should just have.
And when the rules loosened, she had to lose all the extra pounds before going back to work again. She is fully aware that she has to take care of her well-being for this coveted role.
On August 15, her series will finally be launched, and before the launching, the actress got emotional during her guesting in “ASAP Natin ‘To”. The love and support she received overwhelmed her and she has nothing but gratitude to her network for trusting her with the iconic role.
“Gusto ko lang po magpasalamat sa lahat ng nagmamahal at sumusuporta sa ‘Darna’, at sa mga nagtitiwala po sa akin hanggang sa huli,” she said. She thanked her big bosses like Cory Vidanes, Carlo Katigbak, Lauren Dyogi, and Mark Lopez.
She is also dedicating this huge break of hers to her parents. She said based on a report from ABS-CBN, “Mama, ito na po, unti-unti ko na natutupad ang pangarap natin. Papa, para sa’yo ‘to!”
