Willie Revillame Reaction To 1st Runner-Up Win Of Hipon Girl
Cristy Fermin shares what Willie Revillame feels over the BBP victory of Hipon Girl Herlene Budol.
WILLIE REVILLAME – Veteran showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin reveals the reaction of Willie Revillame over the result of the pageant.
Herlene Budol a.k.a Hipon Girl is the 1st runner-up of the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant. The top crown, meanwhile, was given to Nicole Borromeo of Cebu, the Bb. Pilipinas International new winner. And for a first-timer like her in a national pageant, winning 1st runner-up wasn’t bad at all.
In the pageant, she was asked by Cecilio Asuncion and the question for her was: A beauty pageant is a space for transformation. What has been your biggest character transformation since you joined and how could this make you deserving of a crown tonight?
She was the only candidate who answered in Tagalog and her winning answer was:
“Para sa akin, isang karangalan na nakatungtong ako dito sa Binibining Pilipinas bilang isang binibining hindi inaasahan. Para sa akin, ang sarap palang mangarap. Ang sarap mangarap. Walang imposible. Isa po akong komedyante na laki sa hirap. At ang aking transpormasyon ay ang magbigay ng inspirasyon because I know… because I know for myself that I am beautiful… because I know for myself that I am uniquely beautiful with a mission.”
Apart from her 1st runner-win, she was also one of the candidates who bagged the most number of special awards. She received seven special awards in total such as Manila Bulletin Readers’ Choice Award, Binibining Shein, JAG Queen, Binibining Pizza Hut 2022, Binibining Silka, Binibining Kumu, and Binibining World Balance.
With her win, among the people happiest for her is Willie Revillame, the person who first discovered her and gave her an opportunity to be famous.
According to Cristy Fermi who was able to talk with the host, he is happy for Hipon Girl. From the beginning, the male host already saw in her that she was not just fighting for herself to improve her life but also for her family.
He saw a dedicated, professional, and hardworking woman in her. And that’s what draws him closer to her and gives her the spotlight.
“Alam mo, inang, nung una ko pa lang siyang makita, nung contestant pa lang siya, nakita ko sa kanya ang isang anak na lumalaban. Lumalaban, hindi lamang para sa kanyang sarili, kundi para iahon sa hirap ang kanyang pamilya. Yun ang nakita ko sa kanya. Nakita ko yung pagsisikap, professional, ginagawa ang lahat, hindi lang para sa sarili niyang ambisyon, kundi para mabigyan ng magandang buhay ang lolo at lola na nagpalaki sa kanya,” were accordingly the host’s words.
