PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (August 6, 2022)

PAGASA Says LPA & Habagat to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and southwest monsoon will bring scattered rainshowers over parts of the country.

On Saturday (August 6, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the LPA has been last spotted at 140 kilometers north northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan. The Southwest Monsoon will be affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas.

The low-pressure area/habagat will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers & thunderstorms over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila, Visayas, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Pangasinan, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino will experience similar weather condition.

The monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Batanes, Cagayan and Isabela as well as the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency has also warned the residents of Metro Manila, Visayas, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Pangasinan, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
