Former First Lady Ming Ramos Plays Piano for Late Husband Former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos

Former first lady Ming Ramos serenaded her late husband, the late former President Fidel V. Ramos or also called FVR.

Countless hearts were left broken by the death of former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos. Also called by the public FVR, the former President died at the age of 94 last Sunday, July 31. The Ramos family confirmed his death as they sought privacy amid their times of grief while assuring the public of announcing details regarding his wake and funeral.

Messages of condolences and sympathy overflowed for the Ramos family amid the death of the former President. Several high-profile politicians also expressed their grief and the inspiration he has left after living a life serving the people.

Ramos served as the Philippine President from 1992 to 1998. Prior to it, one of the positions he served was the Philippine Constabulary chief under the administration of the late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr. He was a second-degree cousin of Marcos Sr.

The Marcoses were ousted from Malacañang by the People Power Revolution. Former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos became the 2nd President of the country following the historic EDSA revolution. His wife, former First Lady Ming Ramos, was very supportive of her husband’s political career.

After he served as the country’s Chief Executive in 1998, he has served other various positions in the government. He was a former chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and also an ex-Secretary of National Defense.

In 2016, FVR was also one of the significant people who convinced then Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte to run for president. During the Duterte administration in the same year, he was the Philippines’ envoy to China.

With regards to former President Fidel V. Ramos’ funeral, it is set for Tuesday, August 9. Malacañang said that he will be given full military honors before he will be laid at his final resting place at Libingan ng mga Bayani.

A few days before his burial, former First Lady Ming Ramos serenaded former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos. Based on a report on TV Patrol, she played their favorite songs including the song “You’ll Never Know”.
