Police Arrests Man for Hacking Messenger Account and Asking Money from Vitim’s Contact List

CAMARINES SUR – The police authorities arrested a man for hacking a messenger account and asking cash from the victim’s contact list.

Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.

The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.

The 21-year-old male suspect has been arrested during an entrapment operation at Baranga Poblacion in Libmanan, Camarines Sur for hacking a messenger account and using it for his illegal activity.

According to the police authorities, the hacker accessed the social media account of his victim and asked for money from its contact list. The suspect and his victim agree to make the transaction via money transfer outlet.

The cops launched the entrapment operation near the money transfer outlet and they were able to arrest the hacker.

The suspect explained that it was his first time engaging in illegal activities but cops doubt his statement, according to Libmanan Police Station Spokesperson PSSG. Emyrose Organis.

“Actually nakausap din natin siya sabi niya ngayon pa lang, pero yung gumamit ka ng messenger account ng iba na hindi ka naman ka ano-ano, ibig sabihin may alam siya kung paano or how to hack a messenger account,” Organis said.
