MANILA, Philippines — Vice President-elect Sara Duterte is not scheduled to meet with her predecessor Leni Robredo before June 30.

Duterte’s spokesperson, Atty. Reynold Munsayac, disclosed this information on Tuesday, while also revealing a plan to hold a “fellowship lunch” with all former Vice Presidents “in the coming days” to discuss some matters.

“No scheduled meeting with VP Leni before June 30. There is a plan, however, to invite all former VPs for a fellowship lunch in the coming days,” he said in a text message to reporters.

The lunch meeting is being eyed to provide a venue to discuss the allotted security for former vice presidents from the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG) and the planned Vice President’s museum.

Munsayac said the meeting would depend on the “interest of former VPs” and would need a commonly available schedule.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines has activated the VPSPG, a dedicated unit that will ensure the safety and security of the Vice President of the Philippines and her family.

Sara Duterte is set to succeed Robredo and assume the Office of the Vice President by noon on June 30.
