Get to know TV’s newest barkada in ‘Tols’

Kevin Miranda, Shaun Salvador and Abdul Raman

Eager for some good vibes?

Well, Kevin Miranda, Shaun Salvador and Abdul Raman are only eager to serve you some and more.

The trio are to star in GTV’s “Tols,” which starts airing this Saturday, June 25.

“Tols” is all about their fun, exciting escapades as the Macaspac triplets — Uno (Kelvin), Dos (Shaun) and Third (Abdul).

They grew up separately with their mom Barbie, the funny and sexy Rufa Mae Quinto, having to go abroad for work.

Rufa Mae Quinto

When Barbie goes back to the Philippines after several years, she reunites with her sons who are to learn how adjust living with each other and there mom.

Of course, Barbie will do anything to win their hearts.

Kelvin feels challenged to headline his very first sitcom.

Abdul is happy to be part of the show, noting it is another chance to grow as actor.

“It’s my first sitcom. It’s my first lead role. I feel like it’s a really, really big break for me. I am very excited about the airing of this show and I am very thankful for everyone involved. Sa aming tatlo naman, I love these guys. Palagi kaming nagpu-push sa isa’t isa to do better in every scene that we do,” he said.

Shaun, on the other hand, is excited to work with Rufa Mae.

Just like Barbie, Rufa Mae spent years living abroad.

“Tols” is her comeback show.

She said, “Parang God’s will lahat ng nangyari.

Also adding hilarity to the proceedings is Betong Sumaya.

He said, “exciting ito.

Spicing up the lives of the triplets in the series are Arkin Del Rosario, Olive May, Raymond Mabute and Rolando Inocencio.

GMA First Vice President for Program Management Department Jose Mari Abacan is confident that they have picked the best actors especially for the lead roles of the show.

He said, “Sa triplets, ang dami naming pinagdaanan. Ang dami naming in-audition and yet, eto na. I think we have the best cast kaya parang tailor-made siya for a new audience of GTV.”

CEO of Tyronne Escalante Artist Management (TEAM) Tyronne Escalante, in turn, is thankful to GMA for opening its doors to young and fast-rising stars like Kelvin, Abdul and Shaun.

Mag-eenjoy kayo rito.”

Director Monti Parungao helms this much-awaited sitcom which is a co-production between GMA Network and Merlion Events Production, Inc.

“Tols” airs June 25 at 7:05 p.m. on GTV.
