Police Arrest 4 Drug Suspects Including 2 Former Inmates

Two former inmates have returned to prison because of their involvement on illegal drugs, two other suspects have been arrested.

Nowadays, the proliferation of illegal drugs has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various countries all around the world. It causes a surge in the rate of criminality in the country.

The Philippine government and the police authorities have been imposing stricter policy to eradicate illegal drugs in the country but there are still some individuals who were making new strategies to proliferate illegal substances.

The police authorities arrest four drug suspects including two former inmates over possession of illegal drugs in Quezon City. The drug suspects have been arrested during a drug buy-bust operation in Quezon City.

One of the four suspects is a former female inmate who has been jailed last September 2020 due to illegal drug charges. The lady suspect’s live-in partner who has been jailed last June 2020 was arrested for the same offense.

According to the authorities, the couple has been released last year. However, the two returned to their illegal activities after they have been released. One of their clients has been arrested during a buy-bust operation way back in 2019.

The four drug suspects were residents of Brgy. San Martin de Porres in Cubao, Quezon City wherein the buy-bus operation has been conducted. Five sachets of suspected illegal drugs have been recovered from the suspects.

The authorities seized about 12 grams of illegal drugs, which has an estimated street value of P80, 000.

The culprits refused to give a statement regarding the incident. The four will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 o the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
