Liza Soberano is ready to embrace a new journey as an artist

Actress Liza Soberano will pursue a career in music as she has recently signed a contract with James Reid’s Careless Music.

Liza has previously revealed her dream to penetrate Hollywood. With this dream, James will help her. Two stars were spotted together at different events in Los Angeles weeks ago.

Just recently, Liza officially signed a contract with James’s music label. In an interview by PEP, the actress said that pursuing a career in music was one of the things she mentioned during his meetings with James.

“First thing I said I wanted to explore auditioning abroad and everything. Then I was the one who kinda initiated it [music career] ’cause they never saw me as a singer,” Liza Soberano said. In the Philippines, she is known as an actress, and the love team partner of her real-life boyfriend Enrique Gil. Liza has not done any project yet regarding music or singing.

“Nobody even saw me as a singer. It was never something known about me. I was the one who said, ‘Maybe a little music on the side,’ that’s how I said it,” she said.

When the actress said this to her new management, they were surprised that she is interested in music. She also shared that she started taking vocal lessons in L.A. with James and that was the first time he heard her sing live.

“They looked at [my previous] videos online, YouTube, or everything, but the audio isn’t always the best quality and you only get to hear the quality of my voice because it was also videos of me five, six years ago when I still going on tours singing,” the actress said.

Liza Soberano also stressed that she sounds a lot more different now and they are discovering what her sound is and the genre that is fit to her voice.
