Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto opens up about her future plans in politics.
RUFA MAE QUINTO – Famous comedian Rufa Mae Quinto shares something about being a senator and if she has plans to pursue political career.
More and more celebrities are turning to politics not because it is their fallback career but because they see the situation of the country. They genuinely care for the people and they really want to serve the public. Will comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto join this cluster?
In an interview with Toni Gonzaga, the comedienne joked about joining the senate. She’s going straight to the national if she sees “wala nang natirang matino” in the field. She cared for the people and in the same conversation, she shared that her fame and success, she owes it to the public.
She expressed, “Gusto ko na nga ring tumakbo ng Senate eh… ‘Di, joke lang. Hindi pero parang, kung walang-wala nang maaasahan, kasi parang paubos na ang… sino na ba ang okay?”
When asked about the first law she’s going to make, she joking exclaimed to pursue free milk for everyone along with buko juice and honey.
Although she’s just teasing and joking about this part, she seriously noted that she’s not closing her doors in opportunities like this.

In the previous elections, celebrity Robin Padilla became a senator with landslide votes topping the list of aspiring senators. Other celebrities who are in the senate include Bong Revilla, Jinggoy Estrada, and Lito Lapid.
