Neri Naig fulfills dream of owning a house in Baguio

Celebrity mompreneur Neri Naig-Miranda has accomplished something new yet again. That is, buying a house in Baguio recently.

Naig happily shared a photo of her newly-purchased property on her Instagram page last Friday, June 3.

“Finally, may bahay na kami sa Baguio! The HillSide House,” she said. (Finally, we have a house in Baguio. The Hillside House.)

Miranda enumerated three reasons why she and her family keeps on going to Baguio despite the great distance from where she and her family lives.

One is because she opened a business there called Lime and Basil, a Thai restaurant. Two, because she finished her business course in the University of Baguio. Lastly, she was really looking for a rest house there.

She is also excited to spend Christmas and New Year with her family in their newly-acquired house and lot.

“For 24 years, nangungupahan lang kami. Walang masasabing ancestral house kahit maliit, kahit nasa probinsya. Kaya palagi akong nagsusumikap kasama ng asawa ko, na makapag ipon para makabili ng mga bahay para sa mga anak namin,” she recalled.

(For 24 years, we were just renting. We did not have anything to call as our own ancestral home, no matter how small, no matter if it is in the province. That is why I am always persevering with my husband, to save to be able to buy houses for our children.)

Naig said the poverty she experienced when she was a kid serves as her inspiration to persevere in life, so that her children will not experience what it is like being poor.

Always business-minded, she also considers having the house rented out when it is not being used by her family.

Naig’s business ventures include real estate, gourmet tuyo, a coffee shop, a bakeshop, and many others. JB
