Drug suspect busted in Rizal, P148 K shabu seized

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher on Friday night and seized more than P148,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in San Mateo, Rizal.

The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported Saturday that anti-narcotics operatives nabbed Tristan Carl Bano at around 8:00 p.m. after he allegedly sold a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Silangan.

Authorities seized eight sachets of shabu weighing 21.5 grams with an estimated value of P148,350.

The suspect is under police custody and will face a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In Quezon province, two alleged drug users were arrested in Sariaya town at around 8:25 p.m.

The suspects, Rodelito Fabre and Jerome Villanueva, were caught sniffing shabu inside an abandoned house in Barangay Poblacion 5 after an informant tipped off the police station.

Policemen seized a sachet of shabu and sniffing paraphernalia from the suspects.

The suspects were detained and are facing the corresponding criminal complaints.
