PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (June 2)

PAGASA Says LPA to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area will bring cloudy skies with intermittent rains over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (June 2, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.

The low-pressure area has been last spotted at 275 km West of Iba, Zambales. It will bring cloudy condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Bataan and Zambales.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila will experience similar weather condition while the remaining parts of the country will have a fair weather condition.

Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.

The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzom, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.

PAGASA said that no tropical depression is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility within the next few days.
