Cristy Fermin slams Frankie Pangilinan
Veteran showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin said that she feels pity for Megastar Sharon Cuneta because of her daughter Frankie Pangilinan’s rant.
Frankie is known for being vocal when it comes to her beliefs on certain issues. After the elections, the daughter of Sharon and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan joined the rally of militant groups to express that they oppose the presidency of Bongbong Marcos.
Frankie said in a statement that she can’t accept BBM as the President of the Philippines. In line with this issue, based on the article in Bandera, Cristy Fermin shared her reaction to the rant of Frankie Pangilinan.
The veteran showbiz reporter said that parents have the right to scold their children and to correct their attitudes. “Naaawa ako kay Sharon Cuneta. Hindi lang dahil kay Kakie. Sa sobrang galit ng ating mga kababayan dahil sa mga pinaggagawa… sa kanya ngayon,” Cristy said.
She added that they are wondering why Frankie has this kind of attitude because they know that Sharon is known for being kind.
“Kaya nga sabi nila, kung ano ang naririnig sa magulang, tinutularan daw ng mga anak. Pero hindi pa rin ako makakapayag, masukal sa loob ko na si Sharon pababayaan ang anak na maling mali na ang ginagawa, padadaanin pa. Ito-tolerate pa,” Cristy added.
The veteran showbiz writer also said that she is sad for the Megastar for she swallowed a lot of words for her daughter but Cristy said, “ito pala yung ipinagmamalaki niyang anak.”
Cristy Fermin said that this might be the culture that Frankie Pangilinan became accustomed to, being liberated and vocal because she spent many years abroad.
