Bongbong Marcos About Corruption: “Kalimutan na lang natin ‘yung nakaraan.”

New president Bongbong Marcos wants a clean start in his administration.

BONGBONG MARCOS – 17th President of the Philippines Bongbong Marcos speaks about corruption in the country.

There’s widespread corruption in the Philippines which erodes the trust. Apart from corruption, other problems that the Philippines is facing include poverty, malnutrition, unemployment, underemployment, and environmental degradation. These are some of the factors the new president will be trying to resolve along with the effects of the pandemic on the economy.

And just recently, speaking about corruption, Bongbong Marcos, the 17th president of the Philippines, said that he’d rather start clean in his administration. Referring to the corruption in the notorious Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), he said:

“Ah corruption? Kalimutan na lang natin ‘yung nakaraan. Sasabihin natin, ‘Ah sige that’s not under my watch, hindi ako, hindi ako namamahala noon eh. Ngayon ako na namamahala, so wala nang ganyan.”

The incoming Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said that the president doesn’t necessarily mean that all the past records should be erased. Angeles explained that the pending cases will still continue.

In a recent report from ABS-CBN, PBBM assured that corruption will have no place under his leadership. He believes that in some areas, this activity has become endemic and he, being a new leader, will make sure to “reduce the corrosive influence of corruption in government as general rule”.

Meanwhile, in the recent press conference, there were only three media outfits were invited. He also expressed that he will deep look into the agricultural sector of the country to boost food security. Accordingly, he observed that during times of crisis, food supply gets critical.

PBB, on the other hand, is still evading questions about the history of his family and unpaid estate tax. He’s also mum about the “stolen wealth”.
