Zambales logs 7 new COVID-19 cases

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––Seven new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in this province, raising to 10 the active infections, local data showed Wednesday, May 25.
The Provincial Health Office said four of the latest COVID-19 cases were residents of Castillejos town. Two were from Botolan and one fro San Narciso.

The number of towns with zero active infections has dropped from 10 to nine. Zambales has 13 municipalities.
The province had registered 11,654 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of this number, 11,292 had recovered, while 665 had died.
At least 393,657 residents, or 60 percent of the population, have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
