Bongbong Marcos Speaks About Receiving 31M Votes After Proclamation

Here’s what President-elect Bongbong Marcos about receiving 31 million votes.

BONGBONG MARCOS – Elected President Bongbong Marcos vows to strive for perfection after gaining a huge number of votes.

During the Philippine presidential election, former senator Bongbong Marcos takes a huge lead and just recently, he was proclaimed as the newly elected president of the country. He is the 17th president and more than 31 million people voted for him despite the historical background of his family. His votes are more than double the votes received by his closest rival Vice President Leni Robredo.

On May 25, Wednesday, he was officially proclaimed as the newly elected president of the country. The event was held at the Batasang Pambansa, in the presence of both houses of Congress. He was joined by his mother Imelda Marcos, his two sisters Imee and Irene, his wife, and his sons.

Also present during the proclamation are Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano who are key players during his campaign.

And receiving 31 million votes, he has nothing but feels overwhelmed. He expressed, “To have received over 31M votes from our countrymen is a valuable an expression of trust as can be had by anyone in public life.”

He also added a vow to strive for perfection. They may not be perfect but they will strive to be. He asked people to pray for him and to wish him well. He believes that him doing well is an indication that the country is also doing well.

“I promise you that we may not be perfect but we will always strive for perfection… I ask you all, pray for me, wish me well. I want to do well because when the president does well, the country does well,” he said.
