Magnitude 6.1 quake jolts Calatagan, Batangas

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 6.1 earthquake jolted parts of Batangas Sunday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The earthquake of tectonic struck at 5:50 a.m. 21 kilometers west of Calatagan town.

It had a depth of focus of 132 kilometers.

It was felt at Intensity III in Quezon City, Instrumental Intensity IV in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro;

Instrumental Intensity III in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro; Malolos City, Bulacan and Instrumental

Intensity II in Marikina City.
