No more conflict between JV Ejercito and Jinggoy Estrada?
Senator-elect JV Ejercito explained what happened between him and his brother Jinggoy Estrada who was also elected as Senator.
For years, JV and Jinggoy were not on good terms with each other. Prior to Comelec’s proclamation of the 12 winning senators, the siblings appeared to have no intention of closing the gap between them.
However, on May 18, after they were proclaimed as part of the magic 12 Senators, Jinggoy approached his younger brother and congratulated him. They raised each other’s hands and hugged.
In a recent article by entertainment columnist Gorgy Rula in Pilipino Star Ngayon, he said that he asked Jinggoy Estrada why he approached JV Ejercito during the proclamation. “Ako na lumapit para i-congratulate siya,” the Senator-elect said adding that they did not talk about anything before that and that he just wanted to congratulate his brother.
When asked if he invited JV to his victory party, Jinggoy answered, “Sa group, na-invite ko.” Then, the columnist shared the previous statement of JV about his “hidwaan” with Jinggoy.
“Kaibigan ko si Bonget (BBM) e. ‘Yun nga ang tawagan namin e. Alam ko gusto niya talaga akong makasama. Pero may nangyari lang, e nagkabalyahan. Nabalya ako nang konti, na-box out, pero ‘yan ang nagsilbing inspirasyon ko na talagang nagpursige ako lalo. Talagang lahat pinuntahan ko, walang pahinga,” JV said.
It appeared that he was talking about his non-inclusion in UniTeam’s senatorial slate. Jinggoy is one of the senatorial candidates under the tandem of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte. JV said that his non-inclusion became a driving force for him to persevere. Rula said that several people close to Jinggoy said that it seemed that he and JV have reconciled already.
