Video of “Poso” or Hand Water Pump Producing Fire Goes Viral Online
The video footage of a fire that mysteriously comes out from a ‘poso’ or hand water pump in Antique goes viral online.
A Facebook user named Shem Lantin has shared the actual footage of fire coming out from a hand water pump in Brgy. Budbudan, Hamtic, Antique. The video circulates online and elicits comments from the netizens.
In the video, it can be seen that a fire is coming out from a hand water pump for an unknown reason. The ‘poso’ is located inside the compound of a resident named Rita Rendon.
According to Lantin, the hand water pump has been installed in the area way back in 1983. Bubbles usually come out from the pump after it was used. The pump would produce fire once it was lightened.
However, the fire will set off after the bubbles subside. The residents have been using the water pump for decades and there’s nothing wrong with the water since they were using it for cooking, laundry, and bath.
The Municipal Environment and Natural Office of Hamtic will conduct a study to determine the cause of fire. However, the experts claimed that the water might contain hydrogen sulfide indicating a nearby natural gas deposit in the area.
The video has been reported by another netizen named Stephen Louie Ramos Checa and caption it:
