Angel Locsin Shares Tips and Advice For Jane De Leon, The New Darna
This is what Angel Locsin said to the new Darna Jane De Leon.
ANGEL LOCSIN – Iconic “Darna “star Angel Locsin leaves a piece of advice to Jane De Leon, the newest actress to play “Darna”.
“Ding, ang bato!” Jane de Leon as Narda shouted as seen in the newest teaser of the series “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series,” – a peek as she transforms into the iconic superhero. Her sidekick Ding throws the stone at her, the stone passed on by her mother to her, the first Darna.
Acclaimed director Chito S. Roño will helm the series with Avel Sunpongco and is scheduled to premiere “very soon”.
As for De Leon, the most iconic actress who played the role is Angel Locsin. The A-list actress gave her some pieces of advice and tips. The newbie actress shared, “May mga binigay naman siya sa ’king mga tips, siyempre kailangan ko talagang maging handa physically and ready dapat ako anytime. Sabi niya sa ’kin kapag pagod ako, sabihin ko lang daw talaga na I need to take a rest.”
In an ambush interview, De Leon shared that she has already worn the costume, and wearing it made her all emotional. She described herself as “mangiyak-ngiyak”. The series encountered several postponements and delays. The pandemic also came which caused a long delay in the shooting.
Iza Calzado will be playing the role of the first Darna while Zaijian Jaranilla will play Ding. Joshua Garcia is Bryan, the love interest, and Janella Salvador is playing the iconic villain Valentina whose alterego is Regina.
Many people are excited about the series and the delays only made them feel more excited.
