PRESIDENTIAL MUSEUM AND LIBRARY – Why did the Presidential Museum and Library suddenly inaccessible online?

Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office posted that the Presidential Museum and Library website is now not accessible. This website is under the malacañang.gov.ph domain which contains the history of Martial Law which was declared by late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr., the late father of presumptive Bongbong Marcos Jr.

The declaration of Martial Law was on September 21, 1972, by virtue of Proclamation No. 1081 signed by the late dictator. The one-man rule lasted for a 14-year period. Proclamation No. 1081 was formally lifted on January 17, 1981. And now, in the recently concluded election, his son, BBM, was elected president. Many of his supporters believed that the Martial Law years were the country’s golden era.

The grandson of former President Manuel Quezon, said in a statement on Twitter, “Http://malacanang.gov.ph where the repositories of the Presidential Museum and Library were, is gone.”

The website is “tasked to preserve, manage, and promote the history and heritage of the Philippine Presidency”. According to a GMA report, Quezon shared that facts about the Martial law regime remained available online on Archive.org.
