Bongbong Marcos May Give Losing Candidates Government Positions
Camp of Bongbong Marcos said they’re not closing doors on possibilities of giving losing presidential bets positions in the government.
BONGBONG MARCOS – The camp of presumptive president Bongbong Marcos may appoint losing presidential bets in government posts.
Former senator Bongbong Marcos going to have a sure win in the presidential election this year. He is having a huge advantage in terms of the number of voters. And having been closer to victory, he has already thought of possibilities like appointing the losing presidential candidates.
Accordingly, he is not shutting his doors with this possibility. Based on the law, the candidates who lost may only have a government post if appointed a year after the elections. Vic Rodiguez, Marcos Jr.’s spokesperson said that their camp is looking into this possibility but they are also considering that they might rather enjoy a “much-needed vacation for one year” first.
“Pangit din naman magsabi ako ng pangala at hindi pa sila nakakausap. We have always been respectful of people’s preferences and their choices,” Rodriguez said. The spokesperson added that the presumptive president will not be considering the party color. He will be fair when it comes to his appointees.
Apart from unity, they believe the country also needs stability. BBM or future PBBM is just waiting for the official proclamation from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) before he can grant interviews. His spokesperson told ABS-CBN, “Tapusin lang natin yung proclamation. Baka sabihin atat or something. Antayin lang natin and that’s the start of when we move openly.”
Meanwhile, BBM’s closest rival VP Leni Robredo is planning to make her Angat Buhay advocacy officially a non-government organization so she can still help the people despite not having any government position. BBM’s camp says it is their right to organize such just as long as they exercise their right within the bounds of the law.
The anti-poverty of Robredo is set to be launched on July 1.
