Pagasa: Rain expected this Sunday amid warm weather
MANILA, Philippines — Parts of the Visayas and Mindanao will have scattered rain on Sunday due to the intertropical convergence zone, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
“Asahan po natin itong Eastern at Central Visayas ay makakaranas pa rin po ng mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan dulot po ‘yan ng intertropical convergence zone,” Pagasa weather specialist Samuel Duran said.

“Samantala, ito naman po sa may Mindanao, ito pong Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, at Soccsksargen ay makakaranas din po ng mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan na may pagkidlat, pagkulog bunsod pa rin po ng tinatawag nating intertropical convergence zone,” he added.

(In Mindanao, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and Soccsksargen regions will likewise experience scattered rain due to the intertropical convergence zone.)
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have warm but with possible isolated rain and thunderstorms.
No gale warning is raised in effect over the country’s seaboards, but Pagasa warned of moderate to rough sea conditions in extreme Northern Luzon.
No weather disturbance has been spotted inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility, added Pagasa.
