MANILA, Philippines — The random manual audit of votes is so far a 100% match with the automated count, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Saturday.
Comelec commissioner Aimee Ferolino said the polling body has received 406 ballot boxes as of 10 p.m. on Friday, May 13, of which have already finished manual audit.

“Ang variance is zero, so we have 100% accuracy,” she said in a press briefing.
The Comelec kicked off its random manual audit (RMA) involving 757 clustered precincts last Tuesday, May 10.

The RMA is a process the Comelec undertakes during elections to determine whether the automated count of the vote counting machines under an Automated Election System (AES) is accurate based on the manual verification of the said count.
Ferolino said the Comelec has 50 teams assigned to do RMA, which will be done in four batches.
The process, she said, would last for 45 days.
Ferolino is in charge of the poll body’s RMA committee.
