Angel Locsin Applauds VP Leni For “Accepting Defeat With Grace”
Here’s what Angel Locsin said to Vice President Leni Robredo after the thanksgiving event.
ANGEL LOCSIN – Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin lauds Vice President Leni Robredo for “showing grace in defeat last night”.
Among the most vocal and most active celebrity supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo is the real-life Darna, Angel Locsin. She appeared in several campaign of the VP who ran for president. However, her presidential bet lost. VP lost to presumptive Marcos who advanced by having 31 million votes, more than double the votes she received.
And last night, with an irrevocable result based on partial and unofficial results due to a huge gap, VP held a thanksgiving event. She attended this event to thank the people who supported her all throughout her journey. It was a jam-packed event and Locsin was present, as always.
In the same event, VP announced that she will be launching Angat Buhay NGO which is meant to serve Filipinos and whose service will not be selective. In an Instagram post, Angel commended and lauded the VP for being graceful in accepting defeat.
She thanked her for reminding them to respect democracy in which by doing so, should also respect the decision of the majority. And as a citizen, she added in her post that she’s looking forward for the presumptive leaders to do better than the previous administration.
Angel stated, “I understand na minsan mahirap, kaya kapag tingin ninyong kaya nyo na, ituloy ang ‘radikal na pagmamahal’. Otherwise, hanggang slogan lang pala tayo kung ganun.”
And after everything, she gave salute to those who made their stand and “tumindig”. Despite not having the result they have wanted, she encouraged them to be still and keep the light of hope in them for the country.
Towards the end of her post, she indicated, “Maraming salamat po uli VP Leni sa inspirasyon. Happy for you that you’ll finally get to rest and spend time with your family. Goodluck po sa Angat Buhay Foundation! :)”
