Darryl Yap meets Imelda Marcos

Director-writer Darryl Yap added this new pair of shoes to the shoe collection of former First Lady Imelda Marcos.

Direk Darryl has become close to the Marcoses through Senator Imee Marcos. He has been doing political satire for presumptive President Bongbong Marcos and presumptive Vice President Sara Duterte.

The videos that Direk Darryl has created feature Sen. Imee as one of the cast members. Just recently, the controversial director had the chance to meet the Marcos matriarch.

In his recent Facebook post, Darryl Yap shared photos taken during his meeting with the former First Lady. He wrote two different captions for this post. The first one was his own caption saying that since he was told that he will be meeting Imelda Marcos, he wanted to give her a pair of shoes.

“So ayun na nga, magkikita raw kami, so sabi ko— gusto ko sya regaluhan ng sapatos, pero gusto ko yung kahit 92 years old na sya, hindi nya ako makakalimutan, binigyan ko sya ng jordans,” the director said.

It is a known fact that the wife of former President Ferdinand Marcos had thousands of pairs of shoes. Reportedly, the count has reached 3,000 pairs and now, Direk Darryl added a pair.

The Vincentiments director-writer wrote another caption for his post and he said that this will going to be the caption of mainstream media. “Problematic Director Darryl Yap niregaluhan ng Jordans ang Dating First Lady Imelda Marcos, katuwang ni Ferdinand Marcos Sr, sa kanilang Conjugal Dictatorship,” Direk Darryl wrote.

It can be seen in the photo that the former First Lady reacted with “wow” when she saw the pair of shoes that Darryl gave her. The other photo showed that Imelda Marcos was already wearing the shoes.
