Lito Atienza Wants To Face Bongbong Marcos in Debate

LITO ATIENZA – The Vice Presidential candidate is challenging former Senator and presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos on a debate over Martial Law.

The candidacy of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for president triggered a lot of issues during the era of his late father, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. There are still a lot of unresolved and opposing stands over the Martial Law declaration during the former strongman’s regime.

Marcos Jr. is running for the highest position in the government in the Election 2022 under the political party Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. Several national political parties expressed support for his candidacy.

While Bongbong Marcos Jr. got avid supporters, there are also a lot of people who are against putting another Marcos for president. One of these is vice presidential candidate Lito Atienza who is one of the Martial Law victims.

According to Rep. Lito Atienza, Martial Law was not good for the country contrary to what former Sen. Bongbong Marcos Jr. allegedly claimed. He claimed that those who were doing the right things were jailed. He is challenging him on a televised face-to-face debate or in front of the public in Plaza Miranda over the Martial Law.

Based on the report, Atienza is also asking the voters to vote for him and presidential aspirant and Sen. Manny Pacquiao in the upcoming Election 2022 to make sure that the next leaders to be elected will really work together. They are running under PROMDI party.

Pacquiao and Atienza have also started visiting some cities in the Philippines and heard the sentiments of the people. The Senator announced his retirement from boxing after he tendered his candidacy for president in the May 2022 Election. He stressed that he can help more people with the government funds which are bigger than his personal budget.
