Vico Sotto received these accusations from Iyo Bernardo

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has this reaction to the tirade coming from Vice Mayor Iyo Bernardo who is also running for mayor in the 2022 elections.

Through a video, Bernardo addressed the statement that Sotto had during a flag ceremony last week. The Vice Mayor of Pasig accused the Mayor of just covering up his shortcomings through propaganda on social media.

Bernardo also refuted the statement of Sotto saying that people who only have the right to call out wrongdoings are those who are doing their duties and responsibilities. The Vice Mayor said that he had to remind the Mayor of his “ambag” and the things that his family did for people in Pasig City.

Amid this tirade coming from Iyo Bernardo against Vico Sotto, the latter received support from the online community. The name of the Pasig City Mayor trended on social media as many netizens defended him even those who are not his constituents.

Based on a Twitter post of ABS-CBN reporter Kat Domingo, the camp of the young mayor had this statement. “I can confirm that Mayor Vico is focused in recuperating from COVID19, and in making sure that local government operations remain unhampered while he is in isolation,” Al Edralin, the assistant of Sotto said.

In the statement of Iyo Bernardo, he also said that he is seeking legal advice regarding the things that Mayor Vico Sotto said against him during a flag ceremony last week.

“Dumudulog na po ako ng legal advice sa mga susunod na maari kong hakbang sa kanyang mga paratang sa akin. Ang katotohanan ay hindi maitatago. ITO AY LALABAS,” the Vice Mayor of Pasig City said.

In a recent Instagram post of Inquirer, it was stated that Mayor Vico fired back at the accusation of the Vice Mayor that he is tarnishing the good name of Caruncho. Reportedly, the reply of the young mayor to this was, “Bakit ‘family’s reputation’, may sinabi ba ako tungkol sa pamilya niya?”
