Kapamilya host Vice Ganda has this funny banter about own show and its rival.

VICE GANDA – ABS-CBN comedian and host Vice Ganda has these funny remarks as he compared Showtime and Eat Bulaga in terms of cash prize.

When it comes to noontime shows, the greatest rivals are Its Showtime of ABS-CBN and Eat Bulaga of GMA. Showtime has been airing for over a decade now while EB is the longest-airing show in the Philippines. Both of these shows have one intention to their viewers – to entertain them.

But just recently, while exchanging banters with his co-hosts, Vice Ganda, and his conversation with contestant Mary Rose Palma swing to joining contests leading to how the rival shows have been doing when it comes to giving cash prizes. This happened in the show’s January 19, 2022 episode during the “Showtime Sexy Babe” segment.

It all started when he recalled those years he was not allowed to join contests. He narrated, “Noong bata naman ako, ayaw ako pasalihin ng contest. Feeling ko kasi, iyong tatay ko, lider-lideran doon sa lugar namin. Feeling ko natatakot siyang mapahiya. E, ako naman, okay lang naman ako. Lagi nga akong natatalo dati. I had my own fair share of losses.”

Ogie then reminded him of his wins in singing contests and that’s how their conversation led to talking about cash prizes. Opening up a new topic, Vice said after hearing Ogie’s comments, “O, di ba? Magkano rin iyon, five thousand sa Eat Bulaga! Mas mataas talaga magbigay ng premyo ang Eat Bulaga! kaysa Showtime, e!”

His banter earned mixed reactions and despite expressing it in a funny way, he admits that the rival really gives higher prizes than them. Vice then snapped, “Charot lang! Ang pangit kong host.”
