LOLO NARDING FLORO – Find out how celebrities Ryza Cenon and Kuya Kim reacted to Lolo Narding Floro’s arrest and detention.

The arrest of the 80-year-old man named Lolo Narding Floro had gone viral on social media. the online community condemned the alleged inhumane treatment he received after being accused of stealing around 10 kg of mangoes from a neighbor in Asingan, Pangasinan on January 13, 2022.

Based on a report from OneNews.PH, the old man was arrested after a “manhunt operation” that was conducted on January 13 in Brgy. Bantog as stated in Asinan PNP’s report. “Pinapitas ko ’yung isang puno ng mangga wala pang sampung kilo, ang alam ko sakop namin. Noong binakuran nila, sinakop naman na nila pero tanim ko naman ’yun,” the Public Information Office of Asingan quoted Lolo Narding as saying.

Lolo Narding said he attempted to have a serious talk with his accuser and even offered to pay for the mangoes but he was told to pay P6K instead.

“Ang gusto ko sana (makipagkasundo), maliit lang naman kasi na bagay, noong ibibigay ko ‘yung bayad ayaw nilang tanggapin, ang sabi nila bayaran ko ng anim na libo,” Floro said.

Asingan PIO said the old man was teary-eyed when they interviewed him about the incident and expressed his desire to go home. “Halos mangiyak-ngiyak pa ng aming makapanayam ang…(80) taong gulang na si Lolo Narding Floro… (Mag-i-isang) linggo na kasi itong nasa kustodiya ng Asingan (PNP) dahil sa kasong pagnanakaw, gusto na raw nitong umuwi,” they said.

According to the report, Lolo Narding remains in the custody of Asingan PNP. Celebrities Ryza Cenon and Kuya Kim Atienza showed their concern for the old man.

When actress Cenon learned about the news, she took the initiative to pay the bail so he could go home. Based on a report from PEP, Cenon asked her handler Caryl Ann Paraico to contact the cops last night so they could extend their help to Lolo Narding.

Kuya Kim Atienza also wants to pay his bail. He commented on The Philippine Star’s FB post saying, “I would like to pay for his bail and legal services. How may I get in touch with Lolo? This makes my blood boil. Back to you guys. seriously.”

Social media personality Xian Gaza assured that he got Floro’s back following the incident. He also gave a frank message to the man who filed a case against the old man.
