Zanjoe Marudo came to this conclusion due to his character in ‘The Broken Marriage Vow’

Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo is acknowledging the possibility of falling in love with two people at the same time.

The actor was able to realize this because of his character David Ilustre in the upcoming series The Broken Marriage Vow. He plays the role of a cheating husband who is married to the character of Jodi Sta Maria but falls in love with the character of Sue Ramirez.

After shooting for the series, based on the article in the Philippines Ultimate Showbiz Hub, Zanjoe said there is indeed a possibility that people can experience the same situation as what his character did.

“After ng itong show na ‘to parang posible. Hindi lang sa lalake kundi sa lahat ng tao. Kasi isa siyang emosyon na hindi mo mapipigilan,” Zanjoe Marudo said. However, the actor stressed that it will still depend on the person if how he or she will handle it.

“So ano magiging desisyon mo sa sitwasyon na ganun pag napunta ka sa ganun di ba? Kung itutuloy mo ba o iisipin mo ba yung mga taong masasaktan mo at matatapakan mo? So nasa tao talaga,” he added.

Zanjoe admitted that it was not easy for him to create his character for the reason that he has not experienced yet falling in love with two people at the same time in real life.

“Hindi pa ako napunta sa ganung sitwasyon na naguluhan ako o kailangan ko mamili sa dalawang tao,” the actor shared.

Meanwhile, Zanjoe revealed that he had to research about his character and ask men who went through the same situation. He made himself aware of the things surrounding male ego and narcissism.

The actor also shared that he watched portions of the British original version of the series, as well as the South Korean adaptation. He did this not to copy the approach of the actor’s who portrayed the lead male character but to make sure not to do what they already did.

“Siyempre magkakaiba kami ng lahi, magkaiba kami ng kultura. So siyempre ang gusto ko ipakita, ang gusto ko iparamdam sa tao is yung atake ng Pilipino,” Zanjoe Marudo explained.
