Residents Flock to Olongapo City Vaccine Center Following Government’s Order

Several residents flock to Olongapo City vaccination center following the government’s order on limitations for unvaccinated people.

Huge crowds were spotted at vaccination stations in Olongapo City, according to a video broadcast by GMA’s State of the Nation show, to obtain their vaccine injection against coronavirus sickness (COVID-19). This comes after the government issued an order restricting the mobility of unvaccinated people.

Outside the Columban College, long queues of individuals were observed waiting to get their immunization stubs, based on the video. The city’s immunization program operates on a timetable and per-stub basis, according to the report.

Physical distance was not observed in some immunization locations, according to a video by Piano Edwin Batang Gapo on GMA Regional TV Balitang Amianan. However, the situation has returned to normal on Tuesday, and the vaccination procedure is proceeding well.

Carlito Galvez Jr., the government’s vaccine czar, previously stated that the government’s goal is to deliver four doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. According to Galvez, a Vaccine Expert Panel has determined that five doses of the vaccine are required to achieve complete protection against COVID-19.

Senior persons and immunocompromised people are currently receiving third doses from the government. Meanwhile, people who finished the first doses are given booster shots — one for Johnson & Johnson’s vaccination and two for the other bands.

As the country grapples with a rapid increase in the virus, President Rodrigo Duterte recently issued an order restricting the travel of unvaccinated persons across the country. He said that the unvaccinated’s movement restrictions are in place to protect the public’s safety, health, and well-being.
