American Actress Betty White Dies on New Year’s Eve

BETTY WHITE – The cause of death of the American actress-comedian who passed away at the age of 99 on New Year’s eve was revealed.

A lot of people were saddened by the death of Hollywood pioneer actress Betty White. She peacefully died in her sleep on New Year’s eve.

Betty is one of the most popular personalities in the American showbiz industry. She worked both in front and behind the camera. She was the first actress in America to have produced a sitcom – the Life with Elizabeth. She has spent almost eight (8) decades of her life in the acting field.

Throughout her career and her remarkable success in the field, Betty was tagged with several titles of praises. She was called the “First Lady of Television” and the “Honorary Mayor of Hollywood”.

Living a celebrity life for most of her lifetime, it is no secret to the public that Betty married thrice. Her first husband was a United States Army Air Force pilot but they separated due to irreconcilable differences. He owns a chicken farm in Ohio and he wanted to live a simple life there but the actress is not used to it.

The second husband of Betty was a Hollywood talent agent, Lane Allen. However, she was still into pursuing her career when he already wanted to build a family so they separated.

The third and final husband of Betty is Allen Ludden, the host of the game show Password. Although their marriage was not blessed with a child, they were together until his death in 1981. He died of stomach cancer.

During the eve of the recent New Year celebration, Betty White died in her sleep. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the death certificate of the actress stated that she died of a “cerebrovascular accident” or stroke.

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, the actress suffered from stroke six (6) days prior to her death. Her longtime agent, Jeff Witjas, takes consolation on the fact that she died peacefully without pain.
