3 Cagayan Valley provinces enforce ‘no vax, no entry’ policy
TUGUEGARAO CITY – The provincial governments of Cagayan, Isabela, and Nueva Vizcaya have begun imposing a “no vaccination, no entry” policy at their borders as these areas continued to experience a surge in COVID-19 cases.
Data show that 2,242 active COVID-19 cases were recorded Tuesday, Jan. 11, in the region. At least 977 of these were in Cagayan province.

Cagayan was placed under the stricter Alert Level 3 from Jan. 9 to 15, prompting Gov. Manuel Mamba to require COVID-19 vaccination cards from those going to their workplaces.
Service providers were also asked to present vaccination cards when entering government or private firms.

In Isabela, 637 active infections were registered Tuesday, while 288 cases were logged in Nueva Vizcaya on the same day.
Policemen in Nueva Vizcaya were deployed to inspect borders, including major areas linking the province to Nueva Ecija, Isabela, and Quirino.
