Parts of PH to have rains due to LPA, shear line, northeast monsoon

At 3 a.m., the LPA was spotted at 1,055 kilometers east of Mindanao.
The LPA and shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region.

The northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, will cause cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands.
The rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and the rest of Visayas will have chances of isolated light rains also brought by the amihan.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers can be expected over the rest of Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms.
Five areas are under a gale warning due to the effect of the northeast monsoon:
-seaboards of northern Luzon
-eastern seaboard of Central Luzon
-eastern seaboard of southern Luzon

“Kaya po hindi po muna natin pinapayagang pumalaot diyan ‘yung mga kababayan po nating mangingisda pati ‘yung may maliliit na sasakyang pandagat,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said during the public weather forecast.
