Mark Anthony Fernandez has remained friends with Claudine Barretto

Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez showed his support for the candidacy of his ex-girlfriend Optimum Star Claudine Barretto.

Claudine is

running for councilor

in Olongapo City. Although there were those who questioned the legality of her candidacy, as many people know that her house is in Quezon City, her manager Arnold Vegafria, who is running for mayor, explained that the actress has been staying in Olongapo City for a year now.

Previously,

Claudine admitted that she lacks knowledge when it comes to politics

and public service but she stressed that she is willing to learn and help her constituents.

This will mark the beginning of the political journey of

and her ex-boyfriend Mark Anthony Fernandez is ready to support her. Based on the article in PEP, the actor confirmed that he will help the actress in campaigns.

Mark Anthony also said that Claudine personally asked him to help her and the actor gladly said yes. The former couple also had their reunion project. They did a movie titled Deception but unfortunately, it was not able to be in the official list of entries of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this year which will start from December 25, 2021 to January 7, 2022.

The said movie is directed by award-winning director Joel Lamangan. Mark Anthony Fernandez said that Deception is the most beautiful one among the movies he and Claudine Barretto made in the past. It is expected that the streaming or theatrical release of the movie will be on 2022 as it was not included in MMFF 2021.

Meanwhile, Claudine Barretto’s recent post went controversial as she shared the “letter” that she received from her late boyfriend Rico Yan. Some believed that she was lying about this and later on, she took down her post.
