Sen. Bong Go Still a 2022 Presidential Aspirant

BONG GO – Senator Christopher Lawrence Go has yet to formally withdraw his candidacy for president before the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

The Election 2022 is fast-approaching and talks about politics are everywhere. There are several changes that took place most especially in the national election.

Sen. Go

was the bet of the ruling party PDP-Laban Cusi wing for vice president. However, during the period when the substitution was still allowed, changes took place and the Senator withdrew his candidacy for vice president. It was after Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte filed her bid for the same position.

, Sen. Go could not take to run against the Davao City Mayor so he decided to withdraw from his vice presidential bid. Since the slot of the president is open, the 76-year-old Chief Executive encouraged the Senator to take a presidential race and he pledged his support to him.

Sen. Bong Go filed his candidacy for president in the Election 2022. However, a few days ago, the Senator admitted that he is having second thoughts over the presidential race. According to him, he is not prepared for it as he was set to run for vice president.

The Senator announced his withdrawal from the presidential race. Many of his supporters still await the possibility that he will change his mind regarding his bid.

Many supporters of Go previously gathered at the Comelec as they express their hope that he will push through with his presidential bid. To this, the Senator appealed to them not to wait for him there as it is hurting him more seeing his supporters waiting.
