At Eastwood Mall Open Park, nature and art meet perfectly with artist Leeroy New’s installation, “Festive Fungi, Merry Mycelium,” with its larger-than-life bioluminescent fungi, some as high as 7 m, lighting up to modern holiday songs arranged by talented film score composer Diego Mapa. There’s a Christmas tram and photo ops at the 40-ft Christmas tree.
Forbes Town brightens up the entirety of Forbes Town Road with lights, murals and unique hand-painted Christmas trees in the Metro’s longest roadside al fresco area.
Flavorful choices abound at Lucky Chinatown with the opening of its newest al fresco dining spot Asian Street Kitchen at the renovated Chinatown Walk, where guests can enjoy food from established Binondo restaurants and up-and-coming joints.
McKinley Hill offers a wide range of holiday experiences, including the Venice Grand Canal Mall’s Christmas Trail that will have guests locating eight different stations and complete all the challenges to win prizes, including a limited-edition “The Fact: BTS Photobook.” Take photos at the country’s only floating Christmas tree.
Newport Mall exemplifies the belief that art is the way to the heart with the Christmas Mall-seum, a collection of artworks from 12 of the best Filipino artists, galleries, museums and collections. Over 300 artworks will be showcased until Jan. 25, 2022. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the artworks will be for the benefit of the Concordia Children Services and San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly.
Southwoods Mall’s Christmas Tree, made up of over 1,000 pieces of red aglaonemas, highlights the Garden Atrium, transformed into a Christmas-themed al fresco dining area. There’s even a 40-foot Candyland-themed Christmas tree at the atrium, perfect for Instagram. Twin Lakes takes the idea of a white Christmas to the next level with the massive Christmas tree and a snow shower every weekend.
Finally, Uptown Bonifacio has it all, starting with three unique Christmas trees designed to inspire hope, spread happiness and promote good health as part of this year’s sustainable Christmas. Over 2,500 tropical outdoor plants of different varieties make up the eco-friendly and nature-inspired Christmas Tree of Happiness, located beside the St. Gabriel the Archangel Chapel at The Deck at the fourth level of the mall.
Uptown Bonifacio is also spreading Christmas cheers to those in need through its Christmas Tree of Hope, where guests can donate to 20 charitable organizations using QR codes.
Bike your way into the holidays with the first of its kind in the country, a pedal-powered Christmas Tree of Health located by the fountain area at the ground level, which features eight conventional bikes that can power portions of the 40-feet tree.
The main star of Iloilo Business Park’s Christmas attractions, Festive Walk Iloilo’s Sparkling Parade of Holiday Lights at Festive Walk Parade is made up of over 750 lighted parols or traditional Filipino lanterns.
The colorful lanterns, measuring from 2 feet to six feet in height, were handcrafted by persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Iloilo and Negros.
“We hope through our Christmas displays, spectacles and attractions, we may bring our valued guests holiday cheers and genuine happiness as they spend time and reconnect with their loved ones this holiday season,” says head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls head Graham Coates.
