Bulacan’s active COVID-19 cases down to 854, lowest in 10 months



CITY OF MALOLOS—The number of active COVID-19 cases in Bulacan province dropped to 854 on Tuesday (Oct. 26), its lowest in 10 months, local data showed.

According to the Bulacan public health office, 120 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Tuesday, which were also lower compared to the tallies in previous days.

On Oct. 15, the province’s active infections began to fall below the 1,000-mark and were observed to be on a downward trend in the succeeding days.

Data showed that the number of active COVID-19 cases in Bulacan peaked at 4,700 in the third week of August this year.

At least 1,9 million residents in the province have either received their first dose or completed their vaccination against COVID-19.

Bulacan targets to inoculate 2.8 million residents to achieve herd immunity. INQ
