Wet, cloudy Friday in parts of N. Luzon, Vis-Min; fair weather elsewhere — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Isolated rain showers, thunderstorms and cloudy skies will prevail in parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao on Friday due to the

northeasterly surface wind flow and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) respectively, the state weather bureau said.

“Sa ngayon ay mayroon tayong iba’t-ibang weather system na nakakaapekto sa ating bansa,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said in a public weather forecast.

(Different weather systems are affecting our country.)

“Una na diyan ay ang northeasterly surface windflow o yung kalamigang hanging na nanggagaling sa hilagang-silangan na siya lamang nagdadala ng pulo-pulong pag-ambon sa bahagi ng extreme Northern Luzon. Meron din tayong Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), ito yung tagpuan ng hangin sa northern and southern hemisphere, na siyang nagreresulta sa kaulapan at pag-ulan,” he added.

he northeasterly surface wind flow or cold wind from the Northeast will bring rain showers to parts of extreme Northern Luzon. The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is the convergence of winds in the northern and southern hemisphere, which causes cloudy skies and rainfall.)

Pagasa said the Caraga region, Eastern Visayas, and Central Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ, while Batanes and Cagayan can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeasterly wind flow.

Fair weather is expected in

Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
