Hidilyn Diaz Announces She’s Now Engaged To BF, Coach Julius Naranjo

HIDILYN DIAZ- Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz announced she’s now engaged to her long-time partner and coach Julius Naranjo.

On July 26, Hidilyn Diaz ruled the 55-kilogram category in women’s

weightlifting

at the

2020 Tokyo Olympics

. She defeated record holder

Liao Qiuyun

of China.

The Zamboanga native became the first Pinoy to bring home the gold medal from the prestigious sporting event. The country has been trying to win gold for the last 97 years.

Hidilyn Diaz raked millions after her historic gold-medal win. She has been promised to receive millions from the government and private companies.

Days after she won gold at the Olympics, she said she was ready to get married if her boyfriend and coach

propose to her. They have been in a relationship for over three years now.

The Pinay athlete met her strength and conditioning coach in a sporting event abroad. She said, “

(in the Philippines).”

On Saturday, October 16, Hidilyn Diaz announced that she’s now engaged to Julius Naranjo. In an IG post, Hidilyn called it “a magical moment.”

The IG post was accompanied by a photo showing off Hidilyn’s gold medal and engagement ring. The engagement happened at the Sheraton Hotel.
