QC Restaurant Earns Bad Reviews Over Discrimination to Political Bet’s Rival
A restaurant in Quezon City (QC) earned bad reviews online after they allegedly rejected the supporters of their political bet’s rival.
On social media, a restaurant in Maginhawa, Quezon City, is receiving ‘bad reviews’ after allegedly rejecting a large take-out order from accused Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr followers. He is allegedly opposed to the presidential contender, according to netizens.
The controversy began when Jules Guiang, a former PTV-4 employee, tweeted about his brother’s apparent refusal of an order from the former senator’s camp. The restaurant received an order for 600 people for a gathering based on his article. His brother, however, refused the order after learning that it was for a BBM meeting.
“Our resto received a chunk of orders, for 600 pax, 2pc-fried chicken-in total P60,000 for a meeting. My brother asked for what, for a BBM meeting. He declined the order, ”
Someone responded on Guiang’s tweet and stated they would have accepted the order so they could poison the food they would give to the candidate’s camp, further aggravating the situation. As a result, many internet users, particularly fans of the candidate in question, slammed the restaurant’s behavior.
The eatery has been under constant attack and threats as a result of its political discrimination. In Google Reviews, it has only 1.3 stars so far. Not everyone was critical of the restaurant, and some even expressed support.
Some Urban Chick fans claimed that not everyone who gave the restaurant a poor rating had eaten there. Urban Chick has yet to provide an official statement regarding the current incident.
