, famous host Willie Revillame announces his withdrawal from pursuing any political plans. Yesterday was the last day of the filing of the certificate candidacies to those who will seek an elective post. He is thankful for all of those who encouraged him and offered him help if he ever wants to but he believes that he is not yet capable of doing anything that is associated with being a politician.

He also added in his statement that he doesn’t need any government position to help the people. He believes that through his show, he can help those who are in need just as much as those who are in a position can.

“Hindi ko po kailangan kumandidato. Hindi ko po kailangan manalo. Ang kailangan ko ay makasama kayo. Dahil sa puso ko, sa isip ko, dapat laging ang mga Pilipino ang panalo,”

he said.

And now, for his staff who got worried about him running for a position and leaving the show, he got a surprise for them. They will be receiving a bonus from him. Accordingly, they are bothered about his political plans because doing such might leave them jobless. As much as many people are aware, those who are running in the position are not allowed to be on television. And this means that if he had pushed through his plans, he has to leave his work as a host.

“Noong panghuli na, nag-iiyakan na ho ‘yan. Ano raw ang magiging trabaho nila? Kung saan raw sila pupulutin. Hindi, dito pa rin kami. Dito pa rin ang programang ito. Hindi mawawala ito hanggang may nalulumbay at nalulungkot,”

he expressed in the latest episode of his program.
