Here’s Reason Why ‘Nevermind’ Baby Sues Nirvana

NIRVANA – The man who was on the cover of a Nirvana album ‘Nevermind’ as a baby is now suing the rock band.

American rock band Nirvana is one of the best-selling bands of all time. The band is made up of singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic, and drummer Dave Grohl.

They have sold 75 million records worldwide and received Grammy Award, Brit Award, and American Music Award. They disbanded following Kurt’s death in April 1994.

Nirvana’s most successful album is ‘Nevermind.’ They have sold 30 million copies worldwide and is considered one of the best-selling albums ever.

Based on a report from BBC, Spencer Elden, the man who was photographed as a baby on the ‘Nevermind’ album cover is suing the band alleging s*xual exploitation. The album cover depicts Spencer as a 4-month-old in a swimming pool reaching for a dollar bill.

According to the report, Spencer Elden said his parent never signed a release authorizing Nirvana to use his image on the ‘Nevermind’ album. He also alleges that his baby picture constitutes child p*rnogr*aphy.

Spencer alleges his “true identity and legal name are forever tied to the commercial s*xual exploitation he experienced as a minor which has been distributed and sold worldwide from the time he was a baby to the present day.”

Spencer Elden also said he has “suffered and will continue to suffer lifelong damages.” Now, he’s asking for damages for at least $150,00 (P750,825) from each of the fifteen (15) defendants who include Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, Kurt Cobain’s former wife Courtney Love; the managers of Kurt’s estate; and photographer Kirk Weddle.

The representatives of the famous band and their record label have yet to respond to Spencer’s claims.
