Gabbi Garcia Slams Bodyshamers Criticizing Her Appearance Online

GABBI GARCIA – The Kapuso actress took a swipe against her bashers and bodyshamers criticizing her appearance on her social media account.

Gabbi slammed netizens who like to shame other people’s bodies for being excessively overweight on her Twitter account. Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of things, the actress suggested that people focus on the positive aspects.

She also chastised those who mistakenly equate a girl’s weight gain with pregnancy. ‘Ang taba mo,’ ‘chubby ka na,’ and ‘buntis ka ba,’ according to the actress, are some of the words uttered by individuals who engage in body shaming.

Gabbi already pissed to a lot of people who criticize her weight and think she looks pregnant. He begs inconsiderate individuals to stop “body shaming” or insulting others based on their physical appearance.

“Omaygad can we all stop & take a break from body shaming?” Gabbi said.

After that, the actress asked everyone who read her tweet if becoming fat and stress-eating during lockdown is not allowed. “Bawal tumaba at mag stress eat ng lockdown? Bawal maging bloated?” she asked.

Gabbi then expressed her displeasure with some people’s constant pursuit of a “beach body” shape. “Kailangan beach body forever?” the actress asked in her tweet.

She then chastised people who engage in body shaming, telling them that times have changed and that they should instead concentrate on character development. “Grabe anong petsa na guys, character development naman tayo diyan,” she wrote in her tweet.

Gabbi had already revealed some personal information about herself on her vlog. Many people are surprised to learn that she was named after Filipino icon Gabriella Silang.

Her mother, she added, believed the baby in her belly was a boy. The actress stated that she wanted everyone to get a glimpse into her private life so that they could get to know her better.
