which takes a primetime slot. It is the first TV series on GMA-7’s primetime sequence followed by

The Legal Wives

and

Endless Love.

TWBU stars Alden Richards who plays the character of Louie Asuncion and Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Tom Rodriguez who play the characters of siblings Lia and Brian Libradilla.

Louie is an orphan boy who was welcomed by Rachelle Libradilla, played by Dina Bonnevie, in her home. She is the mother of Lia and Brian. Growing up, her eldest son has always been wondering about the different treatment of Rachelle to him – not knowing that he is actually not her biological son.

Brian, Lia, and Louie grew up together and were close to each other. However, Brian has always been envious of how impressed their mother is of Louie.

Lia and Louie were the best of friends who developed romantic feelings for each other. Their young love which was a secret at first was divulged by Brian and Rachelle decided to take her children to the United States.

Louie and Lia tried to fight for their love but he gave up after she almost died and he could not do anything. Instead, he strived to be successful as he waited for Lia to come back from the U.S.

The Libradilla family went home to the Philippines after five (5) years but Lia came back with anger towards Louie for not fulfilling their promise to each other then. Louie who now works and is the top engineer in the company of the Libradillas is in the pursuit of winning the love of his life back.

However, due to the restrictions now brought by the current situation in the Philippines,

The World Between Us

will air its last five (5) episodes before a season break. The intense revelations and twists will take place from August 23 to August 27.

Reportedly, the cast members of

The World Between Us

are set for another lock-in taping soon but the airing will resume in November. The community quarantine measure in Metro Manila is one of the main reasons over the season break of the TV series.
